The first of the interstate raiders , to the Victorian based AFL Clubs , the West Coast Eagles, since entering the competition, have become one of the most wealthy and successful clubs in the AFL. They won the 1992, 1994 and 2006 premierships and were runners-up in 1991 and 2005. The club has also produced two Brownlow Medallists, four Norm Smith Medallists, a Coleman Medallist, two winners of the Leigh Matthews Trophy and had at least one player in the All-Australian team in all but four seasons.

An impressive track record for a club from the other side of our vast nation and based in the most isolated capital city on the planet .

Originally home to one of the games most gifted yet flawed players , Ben Cousins ,  it has boasted other champions such as Chris Judd , John Worsfold and coach Mick Malthouse . It is a club that appears to thrive in its isolation .
